An Atlantan in New York: Matcha Heaven

Cha Cha Matcha: Nolita, Manhattan, NY, NY

I love matcha, and I was enthralled to find out that there was a cafe devoted solely to it! I actually came here twice with two friends. I managed to try the following things:

Yuzu Matcha Lemonade
– amazing flavor: you can actually taste the yuzu flavor in the lemonade
– good amount of matcha
– matcha is mixed well and not clumpy
– not exceedingly tart, nice balance between sweetener and lemonade
– only for those who do not like lemonade or tart things

Matcha/Vanilla soft serve fro-yo
– great quantity, definitely shareable if you just want a taste
– decent amount of matcha but not overpowering
– not overly sweetened
– none

Cha cha Matcha - soft serve and ginger matcha tea

PC: Cat Lee Kim

I’d definitely come here again, just for that yuzu lemonade.  Their coconut matcha latte was also very good.  There is usually a small line, but it moves pretty quickly.  Seating is limited, so either go early or just take it to go.  You can find them here:

373 Broome St, New York, NY 10013

Definitely go get your matcha on!
